    5 things i want to do starting from this week!

    For those who cares, i weight 215 right now. I am losing at the right pace but i would like to speed up the process by doing these 5 things that i haven’t been able to do in the past month.

    Take supplement.

    I bought a bunch of supplement that i always forgot to take. I planed to take some in the morning, some after lunch and some after workout. However, i always forgot the one after lunch(rush back to work) or the post-workout (rush to eat).

    Actually my stack (that how those “body builder” call it) is quite big. It contains

    Morning - grapefruit extract(2), green tea extract (2), no-xplode (2 scoope)

    lunch Amino acid (3), Fish body oils (2), muscle milk (2 scoop)

    post workout - muscle milk (2 scoop), creatine (5)

    that’s 14 pills and 2 shake a day. I bought a pill box and filled it up with what i needed in a day so i can keep track on which one i took

    Eat on time

    I can easily eat 5 times a day during the weekdays. However, weekend is another story. I tried to wake up early but end up starting my day around 10. I usually eat a big brunch, big second lunch/dinner after i come back from gym around 4 and something around 8 or 9. It is harder to eat at the right time because i have different plan every week.

    This week i am going to start my day at 6 like the weekday and eat normally

    Get more fiber

    It is not easy for me to get enough fiber. I hate raw veggie so i can’t eat salad. Most of the time i eat frozen broccoli or Spinish. Canned beans is another choice. It is boring to eat the same vegetable everyday but those fancier vegetable (fresh tomato or fresh mushroom) are too expensive for me. Also, i fail to eat fruit. Most of the time they just become rotten in my refrigerator.

    To get more fiber, i will replace one snack with fruit. Also, i am going to try some new recipe for veggie. If all failed, i still have my secret weapon.

    Consume less salt

    I tried hard to eat clean. In the morning i eat oatmeal without salt. Lunch are usually steam veggie + steam chicken breast. I just can’t stop putting soy sauce + hot sauce + barbecue sauce + ketchup + Goya seasoning + garlic salt. All of them are high in sodium, which makes my kidney work overtime and increase my blood pressures.

    I am going to take the mayo clinic advice on how to lower my sodium intake

    build better endurance

    I start getting back my strength in gym. Cardio is another story. I used to be able to run 45 minute at my targeted heart rate (around 175 - 180). Now i feel strained after just 20 minute.

    I need to get my endurance back by using this Treadmill Interval Workout

    Running is a great way to lose weight as well as riding bicycles.

    I’d quit if I only ate oatmeal, steamed veggies and steamed chicken breast. Ugh. And getting up at 6 am on weekends? Forget it! Too unrealistic.

    Good luck with your goals–you give your lifestyle a lot of proactive thought and I think that will help you succeed.

    Yup, eating just oatmeal, steamed veggies and steamed chicken breast is quite painful, but i am going all the way this time. After all the time i spent in gym, i don’t want to ruin my effort by eating crap.

    I have a cheat meal every week though. I eat whatever i want (in moderated amount) on Friday night.
