A dilemma - Should i eat carbs at night
Eventhough i am not following a low carbs diet, i stay away from carbs at night. No pasta, no bread.
Most people are less active at night, hence they don’t need to get energy from carbs. Also, when you sleep, you metabolism slow down and the excessive carbs will turn into body fat and store in your body. Also, high level of blood sugar(a direct result of eating bad carbs like white rice or white bread) can slow down the release of growth hormone, which help burning fat when you are sleeping.
I am a night person which hate to sleep. However, i have a day job that i need to wake up at 6 in the morning. Every night i have to force myself to sleep, which is quite painful because idea keep popping up while i laying down trying to sleep.
A new study found that Carbs might make you sleep easier at night. They found that eating carbs 4 hours before bedtime make people fall asleep fast.
So should i eat carbs at night?

I think as long as you eat sensibly, and don’t eat too late in the evening, you should be able to eat carbs in the evening and still lose weight. It certainly hasn’t stopped me.

Eat sensibily and you wont have to quit carbs. Carbs are needed for the body and you can lose weight while still taking all the nutrients your body needs.
