I'm scheduled to have the surgery in February. I've been struggling with my weigth my entire life. I'm in my mid-fifties and have lost hundreds of pounds over the years and have gained even more.In 2004, I lost 120lbs. I exercised lightly everyday and felt amazing.(BTW, I believe exercise was the reason why i didn't have saggy skin after that quick loss). But,like every program i've ever followed, the maintenance period is the most challenging and I have found, impossible to sustain. My ex couldn't understand how i kept yo-yoing. "Just do it" he'd say. "you've done it before." His metabolism allowed him to be slender without thinking about every bite. I'm going through with this surgery, which I see as an expensive act of desperation, for one reason - it will help me where i am the weakest and the most likely to fail - the maintenance.

I've read all the posts here.. amazing how many people ask can I lose weight if I eat oatmeal and how can I lose weight? What is the point to throw in such a comment and not read people's successful weight loss stories here.. crazy. :)
I went on the Sureslim diet once, which is where you basically cut out all processed carbs and rice, pasta, potatoes. You have to weigh your vegetables and protein and you can only eat every 5 hours and not allowed any snacks inbetween, only water and black tea. Horrendous diet and I don't recommend it to anyone. It's a starvation diet and not healthy in my mind as they don't place any emphasis on exercise. Also cereal is a no no except their own packaged cereal which you are only allowed to eat a small bowl of twice a week. I told them what about porridge and they said no because it's carbs. I did lose weight on that diet but it was torture.. anyone would lose weight starving like that. I basically learned on my own the more carbs I eat and the less exercise I do, the more weight I gain. So for the past few months I cut back on the carbs and I hit the gym a few times a week. I don't do killer workouts but I do a good workout. Not one of those people who run for 30 minutes non stop, but I try to get my heart rate up and I push the weights but not too heavy. I have lost 10 kgs in the past few months. I didn't cut carbs out altogether, still had my treats as we have big families and we are invited out a lot to lunches/dinners. This past week I really cut back on carbs and the weight fell off fast, 1/2 kilo a day most days.. I was hesitant to introduce porridge (oatmeal) back into my diet because remembering what the Sureslim so called experts had told me and felt it could prevent me losing more weight.. I had instant flavoured oatmeal with skim milk the last 2 mornings, only had tuna and salad for lunch, or 2 eggs and salad, and a protein and salad or vegies for dinner and 1 piece of fruit a day. Both days I didn't just drop 1/2 a kilo I dropped 1 full kilo. :D... so to all the skeptics who say you can't lose weight on instant oatmeal, I contest! But sure the natural wholegrain oats is better for you but I don't have the time to make it and I don't feel will like it so I stick to something which works for me, is still healthy and is easy. I will still have a few treats on the weekend but during the week I will stick to this diet plan and feel confident will keep losing at least 2 kilos a week, more if less treat days.. will depend on what we have socially really. I don't want to go anal about it and completely deprive myself as am satisfied to lose 2 kilos a week. But could lose more if did this diet plan every single day. I love the Uncle Toby's creamed honey oatmeal and I even add a teaspoon of sugar to it and still lose weight! Which shows you just how much good that extra fibre is doing to work the fat out of the body. One thing not mentioned in the above article is that fat sticks to fibre which helps eliminate it from the body, so it's benefit is not only the fact it helps you feel full. So good luck everyone, and enjoy your oatmeal ! CHEERS! :D

Hey, I am 19 next month, 5'4", and am terrified of the scale. I used to weigh 100-109 lbs., and did a lot of local modeling. But once I decided to get back into H.S. about a year and a half ago, and complete it, I got overwhelmed and down on my self and now weigh 132 lbs. Which has taking a bigger toll on my feeling of being overwhelmed. My boyfriend, who has always tried to get me to work out, has bought me a gym membership and has helped me develop a pretty intense work out 4-5 times a week. He recently got me the Lipo-6X pill, mainly because I keep whining about wanting to get back in my Abercrombie jeans by spring break. I am on day 3 and haven't weighed myself. I have ADHD, so the energy boost isn't that different from my random burst throughout the days. I try on my favorite jeans every few days, because that's all I really want, and they seem to be getting looser and looser, and will hopefully go on with out squishing my fat out over the sides. I am hoping these pills along with my healthy eating and exercise will help me reach my goals. Do ya'll think it will honestly work that well?

Hi, I am 18 almost 19, and I need to lost atleast 30 or so pounds. I weigh 164 and i am 5'1. I need to lose this before March 30 this year, for prom or atleast half, because i am going to Florida for my graduation. And i want to lose weight to show myself ( and my family) that i can do this, and this will also be my graduation present to myself, if that makes sense. I will start this diet tomorrow, and drink green tea. Hopefully this works. Wish me luck! :D

I am inspired by this blog, I have tried every diet and can not seem to stick to any. I love oatmeal, but have not eaten it in a long time. I am going to start eating oatmeal everyday starting Jan.2. I hope to loose some weight and lower my cholesteral along with reducing tummy troubles. A trifecta of goodness.

You gotta be joking. Salt water is poisonous. That's why it make you feel sick! Are you recommending this as a doctor?

Please Please learn proper English before attempting to write a review of any product. Simply, put....you sound like a camel jockey. The step by step on how the "kid" made the wrap was not needed and the fact that you mentioned how "cool" the gun for the distribution of the ranch is ridiculous and not helpful at all.
