Finally, I tried the Dunkin Donut French toast twist

The French Toast Twist has been available for more than on month. It is so popular that every time I go to a Dunkin Donut, it is already sold out. So I woke up early this morning just to get the French toast twist on my hand.

Luckily, there was a few of them on the shelf. I bought two of them and the cashier asked me if I want to heat it up in the microwave. It is suppose to be eaten warm. I ask her to heat up one and leave the other one cold.

The French toast is a piece of pastry with some cinnamon sugar on top. Roll it up and spray some sugar icing on you then you have a French toast twist.

I saw the aroma of cinnamon came out from the heated French toast twist. Because of the sugar icing, it is very sticky. The bread is soft and chewy. The cold one felt like French cruller because it was crunchy. I prefer eating it cold.

Because of it shape (look like a stick), it is easier to grab and eat than traditional donut. I ate it when I walked home and there was no mess at all.

It is more expensive than normal donut ($1.42) but it is bigger. I feel very full after eating two of them. However, it has more calories than normal donut. Here is the nutrition fact of the Dunkin Donut French Toast Twist

380 Calories and 170 calories from fat

19 gram of fat (5g Saturated and 7g tran)

2g of fiber (8% of daily value)

12% daily value of sodium and 3% of Cholesterol (not too bad)
