I love Kettle Chips

By in Daily Health Tips, My diet

Chips are one of my favor snacks. Due to my weight, I restrict myself to baked potato chips only. Baked chips have the same taste but the texture and crunchiness is a different story. Those “light” chips just can do the job.

I didn’t know about Kettle chips until last week. For some reason Kettle brand potato chips are stored in different rack from the other potato chips. I didn’t see kettle chips before because of it simple single color package. I didn’t know it is potato chips until i pick up the bag because there are no pictures of chips on the package.

Unlike the package, Kettle chips’ flavor is far from simple. There are flavor that you can’t find in other brand. Example

New York Cheddar with Herbs – Bold Grown up cheese
Honey Dijon – Tangy Mustard Seek love at first bite
Roasted Red Pepper – Mediterranean vacation in a bag.

The flavor of the chips is bold. So far I tried three different flavors

Sea salt and Vinegar – very strong taste of vinegar, and the sea salt give me the feeling of ocean
Spicy Thai – a hint of ginger and a mixed blend of Thai spice. I feel the burn in my mouth
Yogurt and Green onion – This is the first time I taste onion from potato chips. And the creamy yogurt taste is heaven.

Kettle chips are extremely crunchy because it is hand made and fried in Sunflower oil. There is no trans fat or MSG used in Kettle’s chips. It is only 150 calories per serving. If you still feel guilty about eating chips, try the even better organic version. Beside the potato, the oil and other ingredient are all organic.

Even though it is healthy, don’t go crazy about kettle chips. The bottom line is that it is still made with potato, which is high in carbs.
