Lose weight with some stinky beans?
Natto is a traditional Japanese food that is known as stinky and sticky beans. It is made by storing the steamed soy beans in rice straw. Recently, a TV program in Japan claim Natto can help weight loss and the sales skyrocketed
Most common way to eat natto is to put it over rice with other ingredient like soy sauce, mustard and scallions. Some put natto in sushi and toast. And they even have natto ice cream
There is no direct proof that natto can help weight loss. However, there are other benefit from eating natto like:
1. reduce coagulation of blood
2. build stronger bone and reduce the chance of Osteoporosis
3. prevent cancer
4. improve digestion
5. rumor has it that natto can prevent hair lost
My roommate love natto. However, i need to close my door whenever he eat that because of the strong smell. Even with all those health benefit, i still can stomach it.
