People who cook at home eat better

A new study found that young people who cook at home are much leaner and healthier than those who buy meal from any kind of restaurant. It is common sense that eating out too much is not healthy, just like we all know fast food is bad. However, people keep eating fast food until they watch the movie like super size me or read the book like fast food nation. I hope you will start cooking more after you read this post.

The only reason that people don’t cook is that they are lazy. You can save at least 10 dollar a day if you prepare all three meal at home. Also, you will consume less fat, sodium and other chemical (you know they put all those stuff in prepared food). Also, you have better control on portion. Most people don’t want to waste food so the eat more than they can to finish the dishes. If you doesn’t have time in weekday, read this shop once, eat for a week guide. You also burn calories when you cook and clean. At last, a survey found that opposite sex think people who can cook a nice meal are more attractive. There are just too many reasons that you should cook at home.

However, some people just have no idea on how to cook. They think reheating a hot pocket or boil an instant noodles is all they can do. There are a lot of cook book out there like Rachel Ray’s 30 minute meals which aim at easy to prepare and cook meal. Click here for 100 meals that you can cook with less than 10 minute

One of the best ways to make healthy meals fast is to invest in an electric grill like the George Foreman or the GT Xpress. Indoor electric grills allow the fat to drip off of the meat, whereas the meat just soaks in the grease during pan cooking.

You know what? This is probably very true. Food made at restaurants and cafes are not that healthy. Frozen foods are worst. However, when you prepare food, you tend not to use as much oil and salt as chefs do at restaurants to make food taste better.

That’s mostly the truth.Since people at home tend to have a little more control of their food intake. I think fast food and other places tend to make people more fatter becasue of their extras oils.

I agree, ’super size servings’ are not available in my wifes kitchen. It does make a lot of difference!

Right now I am trying to loose weight and gain lean muscle. Going out to a fast food establishment is not an option. The nutrition information on these items confirm this. The only way to get is to eat whole food sources like lean meat, vegtables and complex carbs. Fast food places are trying to make things taste good and maximize profits. That means they are going to use high fat cheap ingredients. Go to the grocery store and stock up on good food. It will save you money and get you healthy. It is a win-win situation.

I love using my indoor grill! It’s fast and my food is less greasy. I eat more lean meat, fish and chicken now than I ever have before. I enjoy cooking but sometimes we need to make meals fast.

This is definitely true…we do eat better when we cook at home. Plus, I noticed that I eat a lot less calories eating at home.

I personally use the indoor grill/griddle by wolfgang puck. I ordered it from HSN 3 years ago and still going strong!

I couldn’t agree more. Can only add that once you start cooking everything you do can be treated as an art of creation - and learning new techniques makes it all very fun. Also cooking together with your girlfriend or wife can be very nice.
Cooking by yourself is very important on a diet. (I’m on a diet for two months now.)
And you always know what you eat - try this one - search shops for spices’ mixes and try to find ones without taste enhancers… IN SPICES! So just guess what goes in to all other ready to eat products (and what they use in restaurants…).
    All the best.

“The only reason that people don’t cook is that they are lazy.” Wow-not sure that is true. There are many ambitious people out there who are in a very busy, stressful part of their trainings. It does not allow for them them to cook at home for 3 meals, much less one meal. What are your recommendations for them?
