Planning my trip to Trader Joe.
I visit Trader Joe every Sunday afternoon. There is only one Trader Joe in Manhattan (around Union Square, next to the NYU dorm). It takes me around 30 – 45 minutes by subway to get there because of the Sunday schedule. However, the time is well spend because of that high quality and low price.
Healthy organic food for a cheap price – Can you believe that? It is possible to find healthy organic food in some larger supermarket. However, those organic foods are over priced because no one is buying them. In Trader Joe, every item is carefully chosen by the staff. Only healthy food can get one Trader Joe’s shelf. The best part is the foods in Trader Joe are cheaper than those non healthy foods in supermarket. I don’t see any reason not to shop at Trader Joe.
Here is my list of food that I am going to get –
2 Lbs of Chicken breast.
3 bag of salad (2 mix salad and one baby spinach)
1 loft of whole wheat bread (with Oat and nut in it)
1 box of green tea bag
2 bottle of grapefruit juice (A bottle is selling for 5 buck in Pathmark, where I can get it for 2 buck in Trader Joe)
One bag of unsalted roasted almond
Two box of breakfast Cereal (Whole grain with almond)
One large cup of organic vanilla yogurt (I tried the unflavored before, it is too sour and I can’t stand for t)
A bag of apples.
Two box of whole wheat pasta (Angel hair)
These should be enough for the whole weak. The only bad thing is that I have to carry all those food back to Brooklyn. It is a long trip ahead of me …
